Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
Ashutosh Brahmachari, who had earlier filed a sexual harassment complaint against Swami Avimukteshwarananda, was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon while travelling on the Rewa Express. According to the victim, the incident took place between Fatehpur and Sirathu railway stations. Brahmachari said an unidentified attacker assaulted him during the journey, leaving him bleeding from injuries.
He managed to save his life by running to the train’s restroom and locking himself inside until help arrived. After the train reached a safer point, he informed authorities about the attack. Brahmachari alleged that the assailant tried to cut off his nose and claimed the attack could be part of a larger conspiracy. He has accused Swami Avimukteshwarananda of being behind the alleged plot.
The victim has submitted an application to the Government Railway Police in Prayagraj seeking registration of a First Information Report (FIR). If the complaint is formally registered, it could lead to another criminal case connected to the ongoing dispute involving the Shankaracharya. Police officials said the matter is being examined and further investigation will be carried out based on the complaint and available evidence.
